Women in Wine
Malibu is fast becoming a great source for wine as local vintners are capturing a global audience with their award winning harvests and unique blends.
Last night 90265 Magazine had the pleasure of chatting with local winemaker Carol Hoyt who will be a part of our series on "Women in Wine", a concept by our sustainable lifestyle editor Claudia Taylor.
Check out the full story on Carol's award winning Chardonnay in Issue #3 - releasing in December!

Old School Skate
Old school skate master Steve Olson met us in Malibu recently at an undisclosed, yet coveted location where legends make the most of a custom concrete pool that boasts an amazing coastal view.
Veteran surf photographer Bill Sharp was on hand to document our afternoon which will be featured along with Olson's art in Issue #3 releasing in early December.

Mr. 1080
When a legend tweets, the world listens. That's what happened when Malibu skate phenom Tom Schaar accomplished the world record 1080, a feat Olympic medal holders attempted, but could not attain.
We had the pleasure of meeting up with Tom and his mom Regan at the new Element offices in Costa Mesa, then made a quick trip to the Volcom Skate Park down the street. In true role model style, Tom Schaar waited in line with other skaters and when it was his turn, they stared in amazement, uttering "Mr. 1080 is here!"... "He just showed up out of nowhere!".
